Archaeological Management System Requirements

Headland Archaeology required a bespoke archaeological management tool to centralise archaeological project information and replace fragmented processes with a structured digital system. The tool is currently being developed to provide a scalable solution that supports efficient data management, evolving operational workflows, and changing business requirements.

Our Process

Step 1

Understanding Headland Archaeology's archaeological workflows, existing data management processes, and tool requirements.

Step 2

Analysing the existing database structure to understand how archaeological project information is organised and managed.

Step 3

Designing a scalable archaeological management tool aligned with operational requirements and future business growth.

Step 4

Developing the core tool architecture to support secure, reliable, and scalable archaeological data management.

Project Challenges

Fragmented Data Management

Archaeological project information required a centralised system that could improve data organisation and support consistent operational workflows.

Scalable Management Tool

The organisation required a scalable management tool capable of supporting archaeological project data while adapting to evolving operational and business requirements.

Our Development Journey

We are developing a bespoke archaeological management tool to provide Headland Archaeology with a centralised system for managing archaeological data and workflows. During Phase 1, we analysed the existing database, designed a scalable backend architecture using .NET Web APIs, CQRS, Dapper, PostgreSQL, and Blob Storage, establishing the foundation for future tool development.

How We Helped

Analysed the existing archaeological database to establish the technical foundation for continued development.

Designed a scalable backend architecture to support secure archaeological data management and long-term scalability.

Established the core tool architecture to support long-term scalability and ongoing development.
